This upgrade turbo is designed for the Ford Focus RS 2.3L EcoBoost and addresses a well-known issue: restricted exhaust flow on the OEM turbo and many aftermarket upgrades. The exhaust side is often the limiting factor, reducing efficiency and performance under higher load.

The exhaust housing of this turbo has been optimized for improved flow. This results in more efficient exhaust gas evacuation, more stable boost control, and improved performance when pushing the car harder.

It is good to see that the turbo from my Focus RS has now become an official product of yours.

I cannot say much yet about the performance of the hybrid turbo with the upgraded wastegate, mainly because the software remapping still needs to take place after the break-in period.

I do notice, however, that the turbo spools up considerably faster at low revs and that the air volume in combination with the K&N air filter and Wagner intercooler has also increased.

I will come back to this once the remapping has been completed.
